The customer service agent sent to my agent to where I had to wait for a return call. It was at least 5 or 6 hours before I received a return and I missed it.

Classmates took money out of my account for 21.60. I had canceled my membership awhile back. About 3 months ago. There was NO reason to take money from me. I want my money refunded!

Not cool. Very upset and I want my money back!

I canceled my membership 3 freaking months ago and April 4th of 2024 they took 21.60 out of my account!!??? The reason I canceled was because I didn't find it worth it. Especially not for 21.60.

I wouldn't pay 5$ for a membership. I want my money and I can't get a hold of them.tau away!

Classmates has a 'no refund' policy, specifically 'all charges for paid memberships, including the initial purchase and any subsequent automatic renewal fees are non-refundable'. How lovely! What Classmates does not do is clearly display this fact throughout the website. There have been lawsuits and Los Angeles won against Classmates alleging the company charged customers for automatic renewal without their express permission. I am one of the very recent recipients of Classmates unfair practices to the tune of $98.00. I originally joined Classmates June 2022 and, according to Classmates Refund Policy, 1 and 2 year paid members are emailed a renewal reminder approximately 30 to 35 days prior to the next billing' -- I did NOT receive any such reminder so my account renewed this June without any warning because I 'supposedly' had the card on automatic renewal. I have to say that Classmates automatic renewal issue is deceptive -- automatic renewal is the DEFAULT and the consumer must be cognizant of how a business designs their systems and proactive to spend a lot of time trying seek out the location of the automatic/manual renewal switch. What I find is interesting (as I dug deep), based on the Better Business Bureau, this happens to the senior population a lot. I can't say how many BBB reports I reviewed but they were all the same -- no refunds to a large number of seniors (some on a VERY fixed incomes) because they did (or did not) adjust their account to automatic renewal. So I now have a 2 year 'contract' with Classmates and they have my $98.00 -- lucky me. It's unfortunate that I was unable to reach customer service but perhaps they can read how one more person was screwed over by Classmates.
